al.mayhew doesnotexist@cochrane.org uottawa.ca

Objectives: To understand the Cochrane and EPOC processes from title registration to

Summary: This workshop will address specific issues related to writing EPOC reviews such as:

  • defining an appropriate question;
  • using the EPOC taxonomy;
  • determining which study designs to include;
  • designing the optimal search strategy for an EPOC review;
  • using the EPOC register;
  • dealing with multiple designs within one review;
  • lumping and splitting issues;
  • analysing data from complex interventions.
The audience will be encouraged to participate in the discussion.
